Young adult novelist Tanita Davis just won a Coretta Scott King honor for her novel
Mares War. The Coretta Scott King award is awarded for distinguished portrayal of African American experience in literature for children. What does this have to do with dungeons? Tanita is the owner of
the original of today's Writer's Block Dungeon. Yay Tanita! We're all very proud of you!
As you might have guessed, I drew this dungeon while struggling with a particularly nasty bout of writer's block. Dungeons aren't just about the monsters under the Earth. Some dungeons, like this one are about the monsters inside.
So keep delving!
And that lovely little dungeon sits next to her desk, to remind her that there's a world outside of her dungeon!
