Crackwood

Crackwood's a no-nonsense town perched on the edge of a howling wilderness. The locals are used to putting up with adversity: wolfbears prowling the town at night, wendigo attacks on the stagecoach, the hooting of apes in mating season, and the disturbing unearthly lights that hover around Star Rock.

  1. Straight out of Marr'd, although Crackwood and Bluewater are, of course, lies.

  2. What is it about Dicationary of Mu? We played exactly two sessions of that, but it introduced things into our collective gaming group consciousness that still crop up time and time again.

  3. Love this one! Reminds me of a rough Western area.

Did you ever play Top Secret back in the day? I'd love to see an homage to Sprechenhaltestelle, the "Keep on the Borderlands" module of that game.

Maybe a neighborhood of an obscure European town of cafes and hidden casinos that is right in the middle of the Cold War craziness with double and triple agents around every corner. Wonder what THAT microdungeon would look like?

  4. Dude, I *loved* Sprechenhaltestelle. That adventure was awesome. I've thought about Top Secret dungeons, but I haven't made one yet. Secret sub pen anyone?
