The Barrow on the Hill

A lonely malevolence, grown twisted and hungry in its stone cell

Stalwart guardians, their original mission forgotten, but their zeal undimmed

A frightened community, teetering on the verge of explosive retribution

A determined explorer, full of confidence and careless of danger

A glittering treasure in the dark, secret key to a sleeping gods dreams

Brilliant! All of your work has been great, but this is unquestionably my favorite so far. The text is powerfully evocative and the dungeon itself is delightfully designed.

Tony, I really love your dungeon maps and look forward to checking your blog every day! I love the artistry, simplicity (yet complexity), functionality and sense of wonder that you manage to capture in each one. I applaud how you've "thrown out the grid" but still manage to show depth, relationship, and verisimilitude.

Thank you for sharing your work. I really find it inspirational and refreshing!

Very nice.
--The 3D element adds a great deal to it for me. :)

Dang! OK, this is definitely added to my "must run" list.

I wasn't sure if the "oracle" style of describing the dungeon with short phrases was going to work, but clearly some people like it.

I'm going to do more in this style, both the drawing and the description.
