Original Artwork Week Giveaway

Today marks one month of Microdungeons. I'm totally bowled over by how much support this site has gotten. I thought I'd post a few dungeons, get a few hits, and maybe build up a small readership over time. Instead, thanks to the RPG community and a very timely post on the Make Blog, I received over 4000 hits on my first week! I really, really appreciate everyone who has read, commented, linked, and otherwise supported Microdungeons.com. I think it's going to be an awesome year.

I'm going to start month two with an experiement and a giveway. I'm going to sell the original of each dungeon that I post this week. But I'm also going to give away one dungeon for free. If you're interested in becoming the owner of "Kobold Perfidy", just comment on this post. After Saturday at midnight, I'll choose one random commenter as the winner and mail off the matted original of Kobold Perfidy to them.

If you're a blogger, also please include a link to your blog in the comments!

Here's the original in all its koboldy glory:

I laughed out loud when I first saw that dungeon. I definitely wouldn't mind a chance at the original!

But very irregularly updated.

Wow man! Great Idea on selling them! I've been following you since Make did the little bit on you, and I've loved what I've read so far! Keep up the great work!

Also, OF COURSE, I would love to be honored to own one of your originals, either this one, or one of the previous ones as well :D Count me in for the give-away and keep us up to date on how you are going to sell them!

(The blog is just getting started now, I only bought the domain like 2 days ago, should be up in a rough form this week)

Whilst everyone waits to hear whether they have won this cartographic gem, I would point you in the direction of Tony's How To Host A Dungeon, which will guide you though how to do your own. Well, your own from the side rather than from the top down...

Here is what I think of it:

Love the map! One of my favorite Christmas gifts was a hand drawn map by my son, age five at the time.

Heya! I love the blue on this one, and all your maps are great, so it'd be great to get one.

My blog's - http://gamerstakewarning.blogspot.com
It's sparsely updated, but there's possibly some cool stuff on it.

I love that big-ass crossbow and its label "Uh Oh". It would look awesome hanging in my gaming room.

Thanks for the kind comments! I'm glad you all like the picture.

@steven I love that crossbow too. I just imaging some character opening that door and seeing 20 kobolds struggling to get the darn thing loaded. :)

I just pulled out the old Dragon Mountain adventure on the weekend to have a look. It has nothing on this map.

I've really been enjoying your maps. Want to put them to use ASAP.

Can you spell cacophony?

I find myself lusting after this artwork in a most unseemly way. (Also, I'm in Canada, so if I should happen to be the lucky stiff, I could kick in a few bucks for shipping, if it's problematic.)

Blogger Tony said...

@roger If you're the winner, don't worry about the shipping.

@kevin. Wow! That's high praise! xkcd really does belong first in any list, though.
